Work with comments and narratives
Section titled “Work with comments and narratives”On larger screens, selecting an evaluation can show its annotations beside the evaluation details. On smaller screens, open an item to edit it full-screen.
- Comments are part of the evaluation’s conversation.
- Narrative appears on Patient evaluations and documents what happened during the encounter.
- Faculty may also keep private Faculty Notes, which students cannot see.
When you can edit a Narrative, its header shows Saving…, Saved, or Couldn’t save. If saving fails, tap Retry; your text remains available while you retry. EMCE also keeps a local draft on the device and can restore unsaved edits after an interruption.
Comments are cleared from the composer only after EMCE confirms they were sent. If sending fails, the text stays in place and a Retry action appears.
