Adding and viewing evaluation attachments
Evaluation attachments are supporting files connected to a specific evaluation. You can attach documents, images, audio, and video when the evaluation is editable.
Add an attachment
Section titled “Add an attachment”- Open the evaluation and select Attachments.
- Tap Attach File.
- Choose an available source:
- Take Photo on supported mobile devices.
- Pick Photo when shown on iPhone or iPad.
- Pick File to select an existing document, image, audio file, or video.
- Record Audio when the installed app supports recording.
- Review the file name. File names cannot contain a slash (
/) or colon (:). You can also add an optional title and description. - Confirm the attachment and allow its upload to finish.
Accepted formats include PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, RTF, text, common image formats, MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, MP4, M4V, MOV, and 3GP. HEIC images are converted to JPEG during upload.
Record audio
Section titled “Record audio”- Choose Record Audio and allow microphone access if your device asks.
- Tap Record. A live waveform and elapsed time show that EMCE is capturing audio.
- Tap Stop.
- Play the recording to review it.
- Tap Save to attach it, or Discard to record again.
If recording cannot start, confirm that EMCE has microphone permission in the device settings.
View an attachment
Section titled “View an attachment”Open Attachments and select a file. Images and PDFs open in a preview. Audio and video play in EMCE’s media viewer. Other file types open in the browser or an installed app supported by your device.
If a media file cannot be played, download or open it with another compatible app and verify that the upload completed successfully.
Keep the evaluation and files together
Section titled “Keep the evaluation and files together”Attachments do not exist as independent records in EMCE; they remain linked to the evaluation. Before closing, make sure the attachment upload has completed and the evaluation shows a saved, submitted, or completed status. For records guidance, see the Data integrity policy.
